Katie P. Ahles has spent the past seven-plus years developing her experience in family law. As a partner at Woody Law, LLC, in Denver, Colorado, she develops strong, personal relationships with the families she works with and does everything in her power to take the stress out of their lives. She offers a full array of legal services involving:

- Parenting time disputes and modifications
- Child custody and grandparent visitation
- Dissolution of common law marriage
- Spousal maintenance
- Civil protection orders
- Appeals
A seasoned and capable litigator, Ms. Ahles has successfully handled many complex divorce cases entailing complicated custody disputes, high-value business assets, trust interests and more. She also tries to resolve cases through arbitration, mediation or negotiation when it is in the best interests of her clients. However, when a case must be tried in court, she is prepared to push the case through every step of litigation.
A native of Mammoth Lakes, California, Ms. Ahles majored in psychology and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University in 2012. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2015. Katie served as the research editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and received a health law certificate.
Ms. Ahles finds great reward in volunteering her time and services with legal organizations and nonprofits. She is a part of the Young Lawyers Divisions of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association. She is a volunteer attorney at Metro Volunteer Lawyers and a mentor at Law School Yes We Can. Furthermore, she holds a Health Law Certificate for contributing her time to the Colorado Health Equity Project.
An efficient speaker and writer, Ms. Ahles presents at several continuing legal education seminars across Colorado and has also authored articles for notable publications. Katie holds a “Superb” rating on Avvo as a result of her excellent client services
