Kelly M. Politte

The founder of the Politte Law Office, Kelly M. Politte focuses her practice primarily on a variety of federal and state tax matters. From the firm's office in Denver, she represents businesses and individuals throughout Colorado. Ms. Politte is admitted to practice in Colorado, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, the U.S. Tax Court and the Supreme Court of the United States.

The types of tax matters that Ms. Politte has worked on have included examinations and audits, offers in compromise, collections, innocent spouse relief, penalties and abatements, liens and levies, and installment agreements. She has also represented clients in civil and criminal tax cases at both the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Politte's nontax law experience has encompassed estate planning and administration, and in this regard, she regularly prepares and reviews wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. She has also handled business law matters, including choice of legal entity, regulatory compliance, contract drafting and transactions, and business disputes and litigation. Fluent in French as well as in English, Ms. Politte attended the University of California, San Diego, where she majored in psychology and received a Bachelor of Science in 2004. She then went on to attend the University of Denver, and she pursued a legal education at its Sturm College of Law as well as a business education at the school's Daniels College of Business, and in 2008, she obtained both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration. She also holds a legal masters (LL.M.) in taxation from her law school alma mater.
