Kelsey Berkley

Kelsey Berkley is the co-founder of The Reputation Law Group, an all-woman–owned firm in Denver, Colorado. As a trial attorney and devoted advocate, she supports individuals navigating the most personal and high-stakes family and criminal matters. Bringing a combination of courtroom acumen, strategic analysis and steadfast compassion to her practice, she takes on cases ranging from felony and misdemeanor defense, including DUI/DWAI, drug offenses, domestic violence, assault and municipal violations, to family law disputes such as divorce, child custody and parenting time, support disputes, domestic violence restraining orders, property division, modifications and post-decree matters.

Ms. Berkley’s path in law began at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she graduated before joining a fast-paced Denver firm as a paralegal. There, she strengthened her foundation in family law long before entering law school. She received her J.D. from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law and has been licensed to practice in Colorado since 2017.

While in Kansas City, Ms. Berkley interned with the Midwest Innocence Project and served both state and federal public defender offices, honing trial skills and techniques in sentencing mitigation. Upon passing the Colorado Bar Association, she returned home to serve as a deputy public defender in El Paso and Teller counties.

During her tenure as Deputy Public Defender, Ms. Berkley represented countless clients in over 50 jury trials and argued constitutional motion hearings across county and municipal courts, including Aurora, Black Hawk, Broomfield and Denver. This extensive courtroom experience, paired with her family law background, equips her to address situations where personal and legal issues overlap.

Known for clear communication and strategic guidance, Ms. Berkley prioritizes client understanding and confidence throughout every stage of representation. Her dedication earned her recognition as Professional of the Year from the ARC of the Pikes Peak Region for her advocacy on behalf of intellectually and developmentally disabled clients. Whether arguing in court or negotiating settlements, her tenacity and professionalism define her practice and commitment to each client’s best outcome.
