With about eight years of experience practicing law and a partner at The Juba Law Office, PLLC, Denver, Colorado, Kevin Benninger handles all aspects of criminal defense cases, including traffic offenses, homicide, assault, DUI, domestic violence, sex offenses, probation revocations, postconviction litigation, and other misdemeanors and felonies. Primarily taking on cases from in and around Denver, he also practices throughout Colorado.
Having worked at the Colorado Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Benninger has defended individuals charged with a variety of criminal offenses from petty traffic violations to homicides. Never settling for less than the best for his clients, he has litigated hundreds of cases. This extensive trial experience continues to influence his practice today as he is always willing to litigate and do whatever it takes to get the best results for his clients.
With significant experience in several different areas of law, Mr. Benninger is able to effectively represent clients in all manner of their lives. His client-centered approach means he understands that criminal charges may often be accompanied by other matters outside of the criminal courtroom that have a significant effect on his clients. Therefore, he also represents clients with civil protection order cases, emergency risk protection order (“TERPO”) hearings, dependency and neglect cases, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, and sealing or expungement of criminal records and state-collected DNA.
Mr. Benninger is passionate about researching and exploring novel legal issues, and his practice reflects this passion through his extensive litigation and motions practice. He is also a legal analyst with Denver news stations Channel 2 and Fox31, where he is able to provide his insight into ongoing legal matters that catch the attention of the public. He strongly believes in protecting the constitutional rights of his clients, and in being a helpful guide to clients as they go through what can often be an extremely difficult and stressful experience.
