Kyle J. Martelon is a senior associate attorney at Ciancio Ciancio Brown, P.C., in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Martelon is a member of the firm’s civil litigation and family law teams. He focuses his practice on family law, handling cases involving divorce, allocation of parental responsibility, common law matters, dependency and neglect, paternity, same-sex family law, separation and general civil litigation. He serves clients throughout Colorado.
Mr. Martelon has substantial experience in family law. He previously clerked for a Jefferson Combined Court judge and practiced at a downtown Denver based family law firm. His prior legal experience also includes practicing at a New York City based employment law firm and interning for a U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado judge and at the Office of Legal Counsel for the Colorado governor.
Outside of the office, Mr. Martelon participates in several pro bono activities. He volunteers with the Center on Colfax, Metro Volunteer Lawyers and Summit County Family & Intercultural Resource Center. He is a member of the Adams Broomfield Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado LGBT Bar Association, as well as the Colorado Bar Association, serving in the family law section and on the sessions committee. In 2019, Law Week Colorado named him one of the “best lawyers in Colorado.”
Mr. Martelon received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he was inducted into the academic honors society Phi Beta Kappa. He later earned his law degree from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where he was inducted into the prestigious Order of St. Ives scholarship.
