Laura E. Shapiro

As founder of the Law Office of Laura E. Shapiro, Ms. Shapiro is committed to representing clients in Denver, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, Littleton, Castle Pines, Cherry Hills Village, Castle Rock and Cherry Creek, Colorado. She dedicates her practice to handling family law cases that involve the following matters: divorce, property division, high-net-worth clients and high-asset divorce.

In 1972, Ms. Shapiro graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College. She went on to receive a Juris Doctor in 1977 from New York Law School.

A dispute among family members can put significant emotional and financial strain on those involved. Resolving these issues quickly, in a sensitive and detailed manner, is an important part of helping clients move forward. For more than 25 years, Ms. Shapiro has been focused on working with families to find solutions for their matters involving divorce.

Having a background in complex litigation, Ms. Shapiro is a fierce adversary in the courtroom. She also recognizes the value in helping people resolve matters through mediation. Regardless of which course of action a client chooses to take, Ms. Shapiro evaluates the person’s unique circumstances and applies her legal knowledge in order to help render the best possible outcome for the family.

A published author and frequent lecturer, Ms. Shapiro is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Arapahoe County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
