Loren M. Brown is a founding shareholder and managing shareholder with Ciancio Ciancio Brown, P.C. Loren’s practice is focused 100% on litigation, providing representation along the Front Range, and throughout the State of Colorado. Loren focuses on Wrongful Death and Personal Injury, Criminal Defense (ranging from traffic violations to homicide), Liquor Licensing, and Commercial Litigation.
Loren is also actively involved in the Colorado Bar Association. Loren served as the President of the Colorado Bar Association (2015-2016). During his term, Loren was able to travel throughout the State of Colorado meeting lawyers, legal professionals, and judges across the Eastern Plains, Western Slope, and along the Front Range. Aside from making great contacts with people in those places, Loren was also able to help shape the bar association and legal profession moving forward, focusing on issues such as diversity and inclusion, attorney health and wellness, access to justice, and formation of the CBA strategic plan.
Loren’s liquor license practice involves matters related to liquor licensing, including new licenses and defense of clients related to liquor license violations. Loren’s clients in this area range in size from small family businesses to large national corporations, including retail outlet liquor stores, taverns and restaurants, and theaters.
Loren started his career as a law clerk with Gene and Cyndy Ciancio while in law school, and remained with the firm after becoming an attorney in 2003. Loren received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999, with a B. A. in History. While at University of Colorado, Loren was a member of the Track and Field Team (High Jump and 400 Meter Hurdles), and selected to the Big XII Commissioner’s Honor Roll, 1997 and 1998. Loren was also a recipient of the Justice Byron R. White Memorial Award.
After graduating from University of Colorado, Loren attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and earned his Juris Doctor in 2003. While at DU, Loren was the President of the student chapter of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), now AAJ, and was also a member of the Moot Court Board.
Loren has always been passionate about trial practice, even while in law school. He was on the University of Denver’s ATLA traveling trial team, and in 2003 the team went on to be National Champions.
