Mary Walsh

Mary Walsh is an associate attorney at GEM Family Law, located in Denver, Colorado. There, she navigates the intricate world of family law. With a fervent commitment to her clients, she strives to ease the burdens often associated with family legal matters.

A consummate professional, Ms. Walsh’s experience spans a range of complex cases, including divorce, child custody and protection orders. She is dedicated to guiding her clients through the diverse challenges of family law, ensuring each one receives a compassionate and tailored approach.

Ms. Walsh's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in English, complemented by a minor in business administration from Creighton University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School, finishing at the top of her class and becoming a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif, an honor reserved for the top 10 percent of graduates.

During her undergraduate years, Ms. Walsh was recognized with the Creighton University Undergraduate Scholarly Writing Award and the O'Toole Award for Creative Non-fiction Writing, highlighting her talent in persuasive writing – a skill she now uses to champion her clients' causes.

While in law school, Ms. Walsh actively pursued opportunities to deepen her knowledge of family law. She gained hands-on experience as a student attorney at the University of Colorado Juvenile and Family Law Clinic, working on divorce, dependency and neglect, and juvenile delinquency cases. Her internships included stints with Metro Volunteer Lawyers and the 20th Judicial District. Post-graduation, she served as an associate attorney at a Denver family law firm before joining Gebhardt Emerson Moodie Bonanno, LLC.

Ms. Walsh is a respected member of the legal community, actively participating in the Colorado Bar Association – Family Law Section, the Denver Bar Association, the Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee and the Colorado Judicial Institute.
