Matthew Louis Fenicle

A staunch advocate for every individual’s civil rights, Matthew Louis Fenicle is consistent in his eminent representation and compassionate in his approach. At Kontnik | Cohen, LLC, in Denver, Colorado, he primarily focuses his efforts on deaf rights and disability discrimination, as well as employment law matters such as wrongful termination, harassment, wage and hour law, and employee benefits, among many others.

Mr. Fenicle completed his undergraduate studies in 2015, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in social justice studies and psychology from James Madison University. He went on to enroll in The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson Law. During his time there, he served as a student intern for the National Association of the Deaf, where he gained invaluable experience that he still utilizes in his practice today. He received his Juris Doctor in 2018 and went on to work as a judicial law clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, gaining a keen insight into how the federal judiciary operates. 

In 2019, Mr. Fenicle obtained his license to practice law in New York and later in Maryland and Colorado, and also gained admission to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States. 

Born into a deaf family as an individual who is hearing, Mr. Fenicle understands the struggles his clients face on a daily basis, especially when confronted with the injustices they face due to their disability. He fights tooth and nail to get them the justice they deserve – time and time again – and leaves no stone unturned in his pursuit of providing them the opportunity to leave their traumatic legal troubles firmly in the past.
