Melissa R. Schwartz

Melissa R. Schwartz serves as a partner at Schwartz, McMinimee & Andrew, LLC, situated in Denver, Colorado. With a statewide clientele, she focuses on estate and trust administration and litigation, guardianships and conservatorships, and estate planning. Additionally, she fulfills the roles of personal representative, trustee and conservator as a private fiduciary and holds the position of Public Administrator for the City and County of Denver.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1968, Ms. Schwartz graduated from Colorado State University in 1990 with a B.A. in political science. She earned her J.D. from the University of Denver in 1994, where she functioned as an editor for the Denver Journal of International Law and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Estate and Gift Taxation. In 1990, she furthered her education by studying overseas at the University of London while interning at the House of Commons in London, England.

Beyond her legal practice, Ms. Schwartz is an esteemed member of the Colorado Bar Association, specifically the Trust and Estate Section, where she served as a council member from 2007 to 2008. She is also an active participant in the Denver Bar Association. Furthermore, she is distinguished as a fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and the Colorado Bar Foundation.
