Throughout her university years, she demonstrated academic excellence with notable achievements that include receiving the Scholastic Excellence Award in Legal Profession, winning first place in a mediation ethics essay competition and winning second place in a National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition for Best Respondent's Brief.
Ms. Hamrick's background includes working with veterans as a student attorney through the University of Denver's Veterans Advocacy Project. She was also a Judicial Intern for a district court judge as well as a legal extern for the Judge Advocate Generals' office in the U.S. Air Force. She holds memberships with a number of professional associations, including the Colorado Women's Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association. Within that organization, she belongs to the Military and Veterans Law Section and the Family Law Section.
In her spare time, Ms. Hamrick plays tennis in an adult league in Denver and is a member of the U.S. Tennis Association. She also enjoys attending the theater.
