Nelson Boyle

Nelson Boyle, a distinguished attorney Singleton Schreiber LLP's Denver, Colorado, office. He carved a niche for himself in the realms of appeals, business law, insurance bad faith and personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents, trucking incidents and wrongful death cases. He began his journey in law practicing at a small civil firm before spending several successful years of managing his own practice. He joined a different national law firm in 2013. In 2023, Mr. Boyle joined another small firm and practiced almost exclusively in appeals. After that firm was purchased by a regional personal injury powerhouse, Boyle joined Singleton Schreiber to continue pursuing appellate law and begin fighting in environmental actions throughout the United States. 

Hailing from Arvada, Colorado, Mr. Boyle's academic pursuits took him to Temple University, where he delved into third-world history, earning his Bachelor of Arts in 1997. His passion for history continued at New Mexico State University, where he obtained a Master of Arts in United States history in 2000. His academic journey culminated at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2007.

Throughout his career, Mr. Boyle has demonstrated his legal prowess across various courts, including Colorado trial courts, the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 8th and 10th Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Boyle’s influence extends beyond the courtroom. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Boyle dedicated eight years to serving as a commissioner on the Judicial Performance Commission for Colorado’s 2nd Judicial District, including a two-year tenure as Chair. His appointment to this esteemed position by the speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives on two occasions underscores his commitment to the legal community. He also is an active member of the Amicus Curiae Committees of the American Association for Justice and Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He served on CTLA's Board from 2008-2025 and is Chair Emeritus of CTLA's Amicus Committee. He has also served as Chair of the Colorado Bar Association's Appellate CLE Committee. Mr. Boyle continues to serve on the CBA Litigation Section's Executive Committee and as a Trustee for the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado. 

Outside work, Mr. Boyle enjoys backpacking and camping with his wife and 3 dogs, parenting, and reading.
