Patrick Tooley's successful trial practice focuses on a broad range of civil, commercial, criminal defense, and appellate matters.  Before joining the Dill law firm as a partner in 1993, Mr. Tooley was Chief Deputy District Attorney in Arapahoe County, where he began practicing law in 1985. In addition to civil, criminal, estate, and administrative trial work, Mr. Tooley has handled appeals before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court, and the Colorado Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.  Over his career, Mr. Tooley has tried more than 75 civil and criminal jury trials in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and County and District Courts throughout Colorado.  Mr. Tooley has an AV Preeminent rating in the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory in the United States and has been awarded Super Lawyer recognition on multiple occasions by Law and Politics Magazine.  Mr. Tooley attended Pomona College and the University of Colorado earning his B.A. in 1981.  He worked at the Vera Institute of Justice in London, England before enrolling in the University of Colorado School of Law, where he graduated in 1985. He is a former member of the Denver Board of Ethics and the United States District Court Committee on Conduct, as well as a current member of the Colorado Supreme Court's Hearing Board for attorney discipline matters. He has also served as a volunteer mediator and inventory counsel for the Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation.
