Hailing from Chicago, Mr. Babcock embarked on his journey with the United States Marine Corps immediately after high school, cultivating a deep sense of duty during his eight years of honorable active and reserve service. He pursued a B.B.A. in finance from The University of Iowa after his military service. He then attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he excelled in administrative law and basic taxation and showcased his advocacy skills as a semi-finalist in the Hoffman Cup Trial Advocacy Competition. Graduating in the top 10% of his class, he was inducted into the prestigious Order of St. Ives honor society.

While at law school, Mr. Babcock gained invaluable experience clerking for the Honorable Michael A. Martinez in the Colorado District Courts and working with the Denver City Attorney's Office Employment Law Section, the District Attorney's Office for the 18th Judicial District, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and several small litigation firms. After obtaining his J.D. in 2002 and joining the Colorado Bar Association, he initially worked with a midsize insurance defense firm representing major insurance companies and corporations. This experience revealed the often unfair treatment of accident victims and their families by the insurance industry.
