Scholarly Lectures / Writings

• In late fall of 2011, Rhidian Orr was asked to participate in and author a chapter in the Aspatore Inside the Minds book series on DUI law, published by West, a Thomson Reuters business. Inside the Minds chapters are comparable to whitepapers or thought-leadership essays, addressing the most important issues that lawyers face and offering strategies for managing those issues and effectively working with clients. Inside the Minds: Navigating DUI Drug Cases was published this spring and is authored by leading DUI attorneys from across the country, each with his or her own chapter. Past and current authors of Aspatore books include executives from leading companies and partners from over 95 percent of the largest 200 law firms. Rhidian Orr has been recognized as a thought leader in the practice area, and was thus asked to participate and author a chapter in this prestigious publication. Rhidian authored a chapter within the book titled: Knowledge is Power: Learn to Discern the Difference Between Good and Bad Science in DUID Cases. • Rhidian Orr was approached by nationally renowned DUI Defense Attorney’s Bruce Edge and John Hunsucker about bringing the DUI Survival Guide series to the state of Colorado. Rhidian was honored and humbled by this invitation and gladly accepted the offer and immediately began work on writing the book. The book was sent to print in 2012 and was published and printed in February of 2013. To our knowledge, this is the first published book about DUI Defense in Colorado that is meant to be read and put in the hands of the average citizen of Colorado. The Colorado DUI Survival Guide (Colorado DUI Survival Guide - 1st Edition) was written for the average person to read and in an effort to educate and enlighten the people of Colorado regarding current DUI law and how to avoid being charged or convicted of a DUI or DWAI in Colorado. The information in this book is presented as a public service.
