Shawn D. Meade

Shawn D. Meade is an attorney at My Rights Immigration Law Firm in Denver, Colorado, with a practice to criminal defense and immigration. Mr. Meade represents clients throughout the state of Colorado in criminal and immigration matters, including deportation defense, DUI defense, immigration holds, traffic violations and more.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from Brigham Young University, Mr. Meade earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He also holds a diploma in legal and business Spanish from the Madrid Chamber of Commerce. During law school, he acquired valuable legal experience by working with an immigration lawyer in Denver.

Admitted to practice in all Colorado state courts since 2008, Mr. Meade also appears before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Administrative Appeals Office, defending the rights of immigrants. Mr. Meade is also licensed to appear before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the Colorado Supreme Court. He also assists immigrants with procedures for obtaining benefits with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Outside of his law practice, Mr. Meade is active in several professional organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Colorado Bar Association. This dedication to the legal realm has led to his work being honored and recognized by many different outlets. He has been named one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by The National Trial Lawyers and, in 2016, was also named one of the “10 Best” in terms of client satisfaction by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys.
