Tayo Okunade

Attorney Tayo Okunade is the founder and owner of Okunade LLP in Denver, Colorado. A highly rated trial attorney with more than 10 years of legal experience, Mr. Okunade represents the rights and interests of a diverse range of clients throughout the greater Denver metro region and surrounding areas who have legal needs involving any of the following practice areas:

Over the course of his career, Mr. Okunade has handled numerous cases in both state and federal courts across his region as well as before administrative hearings. Along with maintaining a successful trial practice, he has also provided invaluable counsel and guidance to companies and nongovernmental agencies with their issues involving severance and separation agreements, employee handbooks, policies and procedures, covenant agreements, and more.

A 2001 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with degrees in marketing, international business and French, Mr. Okunade obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law in 2009. While in law school, he completed internships with the Second Judicial District Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals. Along with practicing before all of Colorado's state courts, Mr. Okunade is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Okunade served as a hearing officer with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. He then honed his legal skills at several other prominent area law firms before establishing his own practice in 2012. He is a member of Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Plaintiff Employment Lawyers Association and the Aurora Bar Association. He holds top client review ratings on Avvo, and he received the site's Client's Choice Award in 2017.
