Timothy Bounds

In 2014, Timothy Bounds embarked on his journey with Evans Case, LLP, in Denver, Colorado, initially joining as an associate. His dedication and legal prowess propelled him to partner status in 2020. Mr. Bounds diligently serves clients across the state of Colorado, with his practice centered on:

Mr. Bounds earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of South Carolina in 2007 and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2010. Following law school, he attained a Master of Law degree in taxation from the University of Denver in 2011.

In his role as an estate planning advisor, Mr. Bounds assists clients in the proper transfer and management of their wealth, effective planning for incapacity and end-of-life matters, and strategies to bypass probate. Furthermore, he represents both individual and corporate fiduciaries, providing comprehensive guidance on all facets of estate and trust administration.

As an accomplished litigator, Mr. Bounds boasts a wealth of trial experience, particularly in disputes encompassing will contests, spousal rights upon death, fiduciary responsibilities and liabilities, and contested guardianships and conservatorships. He fervently advocates for his clients and employs innovative approaches to navigate intricate estate and probate issues.

Mr. Bounds is an active member of esteemed professional organizations, including the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council and the Estate Planning Council of Southeast Denver. He has also contributed to continuing education by presenting courses on trust and estate litigation, estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships and the representation of clients with diminished capacity.

Within the legal community, Mr. Bounds plays an active role in the Trust and Estates Section of the Colorado Bar Association and currently holds a position on its executive council. His legal proficiency extends to providing testimony before the Colorado House of Representatives and the Colorado Supreme Court’s Rules of Professional Conduct Standing Committee, particularly regarding the implementation of legislation impacting trusts and estates. Beyond his legal endeavors, he generously volunteers his time to several nonprofit organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of Easterseals Colorado.
