Cindy Perusse, owner and principal attorney of Perusse Family Law, PLLC, has devoted more than 30 years exclusively to family law, serving clients from her Denver-area office in Englewood, Colorado. Her practice encompasses Colorado Early Neutral Assessment, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, divorce, spousal maintenance and alimony, child custody, property division and child support throughout the Denver metro area.
Family law became her calling early in her career, drawn by the sheer number of clients who arrived at her door facing these deeply personal matters. Rather than shy away from the emotional weight such cases carry, Ms. Perusse embraced it, discovering that her comfort with the human side of family law became one of her greatest strengths as an advocate.
Ms. Perusse’s litigation practice ranges from straightforward, uncontested divorces to complex, hard-fought cases. Over the years, she has appeared at countless motions hearings and trials across the metro area, regularly working through income and cash-flow determinations, tax consequences and valuations of real estate, personal property and business interests.
Recognizing that custody and parenting-time arrangements often require revisiting as families evolve, Ms. Perusse represents both new and returning clients seeking modifications to parenting time and child support, frequently partnering with CPAs, therapists and other professionals to pursue the best possible outcomes.
As a business owner, wife and mother, Ms. Perusse understands firsthand the daily demands parents juggle and how overwhelming a legal proceeding can feel on top of them. Her priority is always to protect her clients' interests so they can stay focused on their children and careers. With active licenses in both Minnesota and Colorado and offices spanning both states, she handles a steady stream of interstate divorce and family law matters.
Academically, Ms. Perusse holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She launched her legal career clerking for Minnesota's Third Judicial District and has since completed advanced NITA trial advocacy training along with 40 hours of coursework in family law mediation. Beyond her practice, she dedicates her time to volunteering at military veterans' legal clinics and domestic relations self-help clinics.
