John-Paul Christopher Sauer

Mr. Sauer specializes in Employment and Corporate law. He is an experienced civil trial attorney with a practice focused on defending employers and representing businesses and individuals in commercial litigation. Mr. Sauer has extensive experience counseling employers and executives, advising on best employment practices, and defending employers in litigation. He has defended individuals and organizations in DOL, EEOC, CCRD, and DOJ investigations, administrative hearings, professional review, mediations, arbitrations, jury trials, and on appeal. Mr. Sauer also regularly handles wage-hour class litigation. 

Mr. Sauer started his career with the Labor and Employment Division of the Litigation Section of the Denver City Attorney's Office where he litigated and advised leaders in technology, law enforcement, corrections, the District Attorney's Office, Denver International Airport, and the Mayor's Office on some of the highest profile litigation matters against the City and County of Denver. Upon moving into private practice, Mr. Sauer represented hospitals, healthcare facilities, physicians, and healthcare practitioners in administrative investigations and litigation. He has extensive experience litigating civil rights issues, employment issues, and was lead counsel on a number of class and collective wage-hour cases. He brings this wealth of experience to Goodspeed Merrill where his practice focuses on corporate and employment counseling and litigation.
