T. Thomas Metier

T. Thomas Metier is the founding partner of Metier Law Firm LLC and a nationally recognized truck accident and personal injury lawyer representing seriously injured people and their families. He represents clients throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Washington and Oregon, as well as clients in serious and complex injury cases in other states.   For more than 40 years, Mr. Metier has dedicated his legal career to representing victims of truck accidents, car accidents, motorcycle accidents and defective motor vehicles. His practice focuses on serious and catastrophic injury cases, including complex commercial truck accidents involving semi-trucks, tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles.   Mr. Metier is a Board Certified Truck Accident Law Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) and is also certified as a Civil Trial Law Advocate by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification. Throughout his career, he has obtained numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and recoveries for injured clients and their families. He is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization whose membership is limited to attorneys who have achieved multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. His professional ability and commitment to legal ethics have also earned him an AV Preeminent* rating from Martindale-Hubbell, its highest peer rating for professional excellence.   Mr. Metier's commitment to helping accident victims has personal roots. While attending Coe College, he was involved in a motorcycle accident. That experience, combined with his passion for helping others, inspired him to pursue a career in law. He graduated cum laude from Coe College with a Bachelor of Arts in 1977 and earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Iowa College of Law in 1981.   Throughout his career, Mr. Metier has developed extensive experience handling complex personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases and addressing the unique legal, medical and technical issues involved in serious truck crashes. He is known for his trial advocacy and his commitment to helping injured people and their families pursue accountability and compensation after life-changing accidents.   In addition to representing clients, Mr. Metier shares his trial experience with attorneys and judges across the country as a national speaker and teacher. He has taught at the Trial Lawyers College and is a member of professional organizations including the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and Warriors for Justice.
