John R. McGuire

At the McGuire Law Firm, John R. McGuire serves clients throughout Colorado in a full range of business, tax planning and estate planning matters. Mr. McGuire understands that these areas can be complex and difficult to navigate. His clients know they can count on him to see each facet of an issue and come to the best conclusion to a business transaction, tax settlement or dispute and estate planning issue. Mr. McGuire’s experience has extended to assisting business owners in expanding their operations overseas, representing clients in disputes against the Internal Revenue Service and helping clients draft complicated wills and trusts.

Mr. McGuire graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Realizing that specialized knowledge could provide superior services for his clients, he furthered his education by receiving a Master of Laws in taxation from the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program. While enrolled in school, Mr. McGuire participated in the American Bar Association’s Law Student Tax Challenge, and was chosen as one of only four finalists in the country to present before the American Bar Association’s Tax Section Semi-Annual Conference. Today, Mr. McGuire is admitted to practice law in Colorado, as well as before the Colorado Federal District Court and the United States Tax Court.

When he is not assisting clients, Mr. McGuire remains busy in the outdoors rock climbing, backpacking, skiing and playing with his family and two dogs, or cheering on his Indiana Hoosiers basketball team and Ohio State Buckeyes.
