Since 2012, Sean Goodbody has represented clients from Grand Junction, Delta, Montrose, Glenwood Springs, Craig, and Durango, Colorado, as an attorney with Withers Seidman Rice Mueller Goodbody PC. His practice is focused on workers’ compensation matters. During his career, he has been a zealous, passionate advocate for hundreds of injured workers, and has argued cases before the Industrial Claims Appeals Office and the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Admitted to practice in Colorado, New Mexico, and Oregon, Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007, graduating cum laude. He earned departmental honors in his major in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and was a fullback and running back for UPenn’s football program.
After working in Penn Law School's low-income legal clinics and for a large law firm in New York City, he moved west to law school to pursue his goal of becoming a conscientious legal advocate.
Sean earned his Juris Doctor in 2011 from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was an Articles Editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law. While in law school, he worked for federal workers' compensation judges in San Francisco. He also worked as a teacher in legal programs for Bay Area high school students, and for minors caught in the juvenile justice system. During his third year in law school, he represented unhoused people, negotiated for clients against debt collectors and credit card companies, and provided unbundled services at a low-income law clinic. He is an active member of the Colorado Workers’ Compensation Educational Association, the working group of claimants' attorneys in Colorado.
Known for his many accomplishments, extensive experience, and integrity, Sean is a sought-after attorney who is committed to protecting the rights and liberties of the injured. He remains committed to fighting for those who are injured and disabled through no fault of their own. He takes every case: no matter how small.
