Verdicts/Settlements (Case Results):
  • I successfully represented a farmer at a two-day trial in a dispute over a land instalment contract involving property in Nebraska, 2019.
  • I successfully represented a tenant in a lease dispute involving defective tenant improvements and material breaches by the landlord, 2020.
  • I successfully represented a real estate holding company in a complex landlord-tenant dispute in two separate trials (one before the bankruptcy court and one before the Colorado District Court), 2018.
  • I successfully represented a national title insurance underwriter in a breach of contract case against one of its title agents, 2012.
  • I successfully represented a real estate holding company in a lease assumption dispute, 2017.
  • I represented a homeowners' association and individual homeowners in a property access dispute.  The case dealt with historic access rights of a 140-member homeowner association, connecting neighbourhood roads to county roads.  After a five-day trial, the trial court granted implied easements to the property owners based on adverse use and prescription, implementing evidence of a prior "attempted but imperfect grant" and estoppel.  The trial court also found that parts of the disputed roads were public roads, 2012.
