After 37 years of family law litigation, Jim now devotes his practice to mediating and arbitrating family law cases in the Denver Metropolitan area. Having represented over 1,900 clients, Jim uses his years of experience to successfully resolve disputes in mediation.  He has mediated over 800 family law cases with a 90% success rate.  Using his 22 years of experience as a Municipal Court Judge, Jim arbitrates with the goal of achieving a fair and equitable result for the parties.  He has mediated and arbitrated a myriad of issues over the years including decision-making and parenting time, child support, complex property division, maintenance/alimony, paternity, and the award of attorney fees and costs. He was chosen by Best Lawyers as Lawyer of the Year in Family Law Mediation in  in Denver in 2022 and was Barrister's Best/Peoples Choice as the best mediator in 2019.
