With over 35 years of experience practicing law and a string of prestigious accolades, Diana L. Powell brings substantial experience in complex business and family issues to high-asset, high-conflict divorces, helping parties formulate detailed agreements that protect assets and enable parents to work together to raise their children post-Decree.  Her understanding of the unique financial complexities inherent in divorce, enhanced by her experience as lead counsel to buyers and sellers in high value mergers and acquisitions, enables her to help each client achieve his or her financial goals during complex divorces. Prior to her family law practice, Diana helped hundreds of companies successfully raise equity and debt financing, experience that benefits family law clients with complex business situations. 

Ms. Powell has a record of success, from her undergraduate career at Cornell College, from which she graduated with high honors, and her subsequent J.D. from Berkeley in 1980 to her distinguished career in three states. Most recently, she received the distinction of being selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers of America* 2016 in addition to being among one of Denver's "Top 50 Women Lawyers." and among one of Colorado's "Top 100 Lawyers."

Ms. Powell is presently on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Committee as well as a fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation. She is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas. She has also previously served as the Vice President of the National Military Family Association and the President of the Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals. She has lectured and published extensively on topics relevant to divorce finances as well as business sales and valuation and relevant topics.
