Kaela Zihlman

Kaela Zihlman is a senior associate attorney at Griffiths Law PC in Lone Tree, Colorado, representing clients facing divorce and related family law issues. She also has experience dealing with domestic relations litigation and estate planning matters.

With a zeal to help her clients reach an amicable settlement in and out of court, Ms. Zihlman strategizes every move ahead of her opposition and comes up with creative options. She recently won her first appeal in the published Court of Appeals case, In re Marriage of Crouch, 2021 COA 3 (2021).

Ms. Zihlman completed her Juris Doctor emphasizing constitutional rights and remedies at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She did her undergraduate degree in English language and literature at the University of Colorado Boulder. After spending some time as a legal extern, she worked as a law clerk for Judge Robert L. McGahey Jr., focusing on domestic and civil dockets.

Ms. Zihlman serves as an executive council member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and its Wellness Committee’s secretary and chair, planning wellness events that help young lawyers focus on their physical and mental well-being. She is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Family Law and Elder Law Sections, the Denver Bar Association and the First Judicial District Bar Association.
