In 2009, Mr. Athey completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Nebraska at Kearney. He then pursued his legal education at the Barry University School of Law, graduating with a J.D. and was recognized for his competence in environmental law with a certificate from the university in 2012. Upon passing the bar exam, he was authorized to practice law in Colorado in 2013.
