Ramos Law
Ramos Law | Personal Injury Attorneys Led by Joseph Ramos, MD, JD
At Ramos Law, what makes us different makes us better. Led by founder Joseph Ramos, MD, JD, both a medical doctor and an attorney, our firm brings a distinctive combination of medical knowledge and legal advocacy to representing people and families facing serious, life-changing injuries.
What makes us different makes us better. That difference is particularly important in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, where fully understanding an injury can mean understanding complicated medical diagnoses, future treatment, rehabilitation, permanent impairment, and how an injury may affect someone's ability to work and live independently.
Our personal injury practice has a strong focus on auto accidents, truck and commercial vehicle crashes, motorcycle accidents, and other serious motor vehicle injuries. We represent people suffering from traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, severe orthopedic injuries, and other significant or permanent conditions resulting from the negligence or wrongdoing of others.
Our team looks beyond how an accident happened to understand the full medical impact of the injuries and how those injuries may affect a client's health, livelihood, independence, family, and quality of life in the years ahead.
Serving All of Colorado
With nine locations across Colorado, Ramos Law has a significant physical presence throughout the state. But our reach extends far beyond the communities where our offices are located.
We represent injured people and families throughout Colorado, providing access to our team whether a client lives near one of our offices or elsewhere in the state.
When a serious accident changes your life, Ramos Law brings together medicine and law to help you understand what comes next.
18-Wheeler, Semi-Truck and Commercial Truck Crashes
Crashes involving 18-wheelers, semi-trucks, big rigs, tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles can cause some of the most catastrophic injuries seen on Colorado roads. The enormous size and weight of commercial trucks can turn a collision into a life-changing event, resulting in traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, severe orthopedic trauma, permanent impairment, or wrongful death.
These cases can also be considerably more complex than ordinary auto accident claims. Depending on the circumstances, responsibility may extend beyond the driver to a trucking company, motor carrier, vehicle owner, maintenance provider, or other party. Driver conduct, company practices, maintenance, and other evidence related to commercial trucking operations may become important when determining how a crash occurred and who may be responsible.
For families confronting catastrophic injuries, the medical and legal foundation of Ramos Law provides a distinctive perspective. Led by Joseph Ramos, MD, JD, our team understands that evaluating a catastrophic injury requires looking beyond the collision itself to the medical consequences that may continue for years or a lifetime.
Aviation Law
Ramos Law's aviation practice focuses on two primary areas: aviation crashes and FAA medical certification matters.
We represent individuals and families affected by aircraft crashes and other aviation-related accidents, particularly when an accident results in catastrophic injury or wrongful death. These cases combine naturally with Ramos Law's experience addressing serious injuries and complex medical issues.
Ramos Law also assists pilots and aviation professionals with FAA medical certification matters. A pilot's medical certification can directly affect the ability to fly and, for professional aviators, a career and livelihood. Our foundation in both medicine and law provides an important perspective when medical conditions, medical records, and aviation regulatory requirements intersect.
Consumer Protection and A Different Perspective
Ramos Law represents consumers whose rights may have been violated, with a particular focus on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA).
Our FCRA practice addresses matters involving credit reporting and consumer reports, including certain situations involving inaccurate information and other potential violations of consumers' rights under federal law.
Our EFTA practice includes certain disputes involving unauthorized electronic fund transfers and transactions. We help consumers understand their rights and evaluate potential legal remedies when financial institutions or other businesses may have failed to meet their obligations under federal consumer protection law.
A Different Perspective
Whether someone comes to Ramos Law following a catastrophic vehicle crash, the loss of a loved one, an aviation matter, or a violation of their consumer rights, we believe effective representation begins with understanding the person behind the case.
Every client, injury, and situation is different. Our attorneys provide personalized counsel designed to help clients understand their legal options and pursue accountability and appropriate compensation or other remedies based on the circumstances of their case.
For our personal injury clients in particular, understanding the medicine is an important part of understanding the case. A catastrophic injury can affect far more than today's medical bills. It may change someone's ability to work, care for a family, live independently, or enjoy the life they had before an accident.
That perspective starts at the top of Ramos Law with founder Joseph Ramos, MD, JD.
With nine Colorado locations and representation available throughout the state, Ramos Law is prepared to help people and families facing serious legal challenges understand their options and determine what comes next.
What makes us different makes us better.
