Joseph P. LoRusso

Joseph P. LoRusso serves as the Director of Aviation at Ramos Law, representing clients across the nation. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has leveraged a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the aviation industry.

Driven by a lifelong passion for flight, Mr. LoRusso is a resolute advocate for the aviation community. His practice focuses on representing professionals in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) actions, as well as advocating for victims and families affected by aircraft accidents.

Mr. LoRusso’s academic journey began at the United States Air Force Academy before he earned a degree in Business Management from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2009. His transition to law was inspired by five years as a professional flight instructor, where he witnessed firsthand the critical need for specialized, passionate legal representation for pilots.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the Washburn University School of Law. During his tenure, he was a fervent member of the ABA Forum on Air & Space Law and co-founded Washburn Law’s Committee on Air and Space Law. Today, as an active Airline Transport Pilot with multiple type ratings, Mr. LoRusso brings a rare, practical dimension to his practice, combining technical mastery with legal precision to serve his clients.
