Hailing from Connecticut, Adele R. Jacobs is a founding partner at Jacobs & Wallace, PLLC, located in Bridgeport. Focusing her practice on personal injury litigation, she represents plaintiffs throughout the Constitution State who have been harmed by the negligent or willful acts of others in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, trampoline accidents, medical malpractice and wrongful death.
Ms. Jacobs moved to Massachusetts to pursue her undergraduate studies at Smith College. She graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later went on to attend Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. She was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1983. Upon graduating from law school, she worked as an outside counsel for an insurance company before becoming staff counsel for two other major insurance companies. This background helped her extensively while she was starting off her career as a personal injury litigator representing injured plaintiffs.
Admitted to practice in New York (1984) and Connecticut (1991), Ms. Jacobs is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Connecticut, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
A member of several professional organizations, including the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice, Ms. Jacobs is active in her local community as well. She is a longstanding member of the Fairfield Holocaust Commemoration Committee, the State of Connecticut Holocaust Commemoration. She serves as the vice president of Voices of Hope, an organization committed to education to combat racism, bigotry and antisemitism. She also served on the board of directors of the Jewish Center for Community Services of Eastern Fairfield County for almost a decade and has volunteered at several area public schools.
