David M. Bernard

Throughout the state of Connecticut, trial attorney David M. Bernard fights for the rights of the injured to full and fair compensation. For over a decade, he has been handling cases involving personal injury, products liability, class actions and appeals at Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder PC, and his successes include significant awards and verdicts for clients including a $10 million verdict on behalf of a woman who went into a coma as the result of an anesthesia mistake during surgery.

Mr. Bernard is a member of a number of associations that provide him with opportunities for connections within the legal community, ongoing education and professional development. These include the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Hartford County Bar Association, the New Haven County Bar Association, the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.

In 2001, Mr. Bernard graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan, and then he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2004, graduating with honors. He then became licensed to practice law in Connecticut state courts in 2005, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit soon after.

Before focusing on civil litigation, Mr. Bernard handled commercial litigation, education litigation and family law. He volunteers his time serving as a board member on the Woodbridge Board of Education as well as serving on the board of governors for the nonprofit educational organization Area Cooperative Educational Services.
