Nicole Riel

Attorney Nicole Riel practices family law at MeehanLaw, LLC, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A trained mediator, certified guardian ad litem and attorney for the minor child (AMC), she advocates for the long-term best interests of the children caught in parental conflicts in and around Fairfield County, including Greenwich, Darien, Westport and Fairfield.

An experienced and compassionate attorney, Ms. Riel strives to provide reassuring advice to her clients in order to reduce their feelings of uncertainty and helplessness. She tailors creative solutions for clients’ complex family law needs. An attorney licensed to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts, she takes an active part in organizations such as the Connecticut Bar Association, the Fairfield County Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, Inc.

Double majoring in political science and philosophy, Ms. Riel graduated, cum laude, with her bachelor’s degree in 2015 from Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she served as the editor in chief of the Muse Literary Magazine. She obtained her Master of Business Administration from Quinnipiac University and her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. During law school, she was the editor in chief of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal and a member of the Phi Delta Phi honor society.

In her first role as a law clerk to Judge Nina F. Elgo of the Connecticut Appellate Court, Ms. Riel assisted the court with the writing, editing and research of judicial opinions; reviewed trial records; and attended oral arguments. She then practiced family law as an associate attorney at Pullman & Comley, LLC, Westport, Connecticut, before joining MeehanLaw, LLC.
