A 1970 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Meehan obtained his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1974. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A leader in his field, Mr. Meehan has served as adjunct legal professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law and Sacred Heart University, and he has conducted lectures and seminars across his region on a variety of legal topics. He is the former chair of the Connecticut Judicial Review Council.
