Attorney Mark R. Upon his graduation from law school, he served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable T. F. Gilroy Daly of the Connecticut District Court. In 1978, the Connecticut Bar Association admitted him to practice, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
A Fairfield native, Mr. Carta is committed to his community, and he is actively involved in several local nonprofits organizations. In addition to serving on the board of the Silvermine Guild of Artists, he is the past president of STAR, Inc., an organization that helps special needs individuals find employment and housing, and he is one of the founding members of A Better Chance of Wilton, an organization devoted to assisting minority high school students.
