Alexa Mahony

Alexa Mahony is a Partner and Trial Attorney at Claggett, Sykes, & Garza, LLC, in Connecticut. Alexa has tried cases to seven-, eight-, and nine figure jury verdicts. In 2022, Alexa was a part of the trial team that secured a $100 million verdict on behalf of a paralyzed man and his wife. Alexa also obtained a $10 million loss of consortium verdict. Both verdicts were the largest in Connecticut history.

Alexa speaks nationally to plaintiff’s trial lawyers, provides trial skills training, and enjoys consulting and co-trying high-exposure cases, where her specialized training in focus groups and Big Data can shine.

Mahony is a professor at Trial Lawyers University and has been recognized as a New Leader in the Law (New England Legal Awards, 2023) and as a Rising Star (Super Lawyers, 2020 - Present). Alexa lives in Connecticut with her husband Brendon, their son Wes, and their crazy dog Ruby.  Alexa has mastered rollerblading, while pushing a stroller and holding a leash, and she loves yoga and strong coffee.
