While there, he won the American Jurisprudence Award and the Nathan Burkan Award for his academic excellence. He also holds a post-doctorate degree in taxation from New York University School of Law.
In honor of his professionalism and outstanding client service, Mr. Horowitz was listed among Trademark Who's Who for excellence in estate planning and wealth management, and was named as a Five Star Professional Advisor by the Connecticut Magazine.
Many legal organizations have had the honor of counting Mr. Horowitz among their memberships. He is a member of the Hartford County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association's estate planning and probate section, and the professional ethics committee. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.
An active contributor to those in his community, Mr. Horowitz provides pro bono services to underprivileged and low-income individuals. He was a part of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Law Works for People Program in 2003, and he was named to the Connecticut Bar Association Pro Bono Honor Roll. He also volunteered his time with Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF) and HART – Hartford Areas Rally Together.
