Keith Anthony

Attorney Keith Anthony has a diverse practice that includes family law matters, personal injury and wrongful death litigation, criminal defense, and military law. His firm, the Law Office of Keith Anthony, is based in Groton, Connecticut, and he represents clients throughout New London County and other parts of the state.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Anthony spent more than three years serving his country as a captain and a judge advocate in the U.S. Marines, and he is now a member of the Marine Corps Forces Reserve. He uses that experience in his military law practice, defending service members in courts-martial and before boards of inquiry. Mr. Anthony also devotes a portion of his family law practice to the representation of service members or their estranged spouses in such matters as child custody and the division of military pensions, which are subject to a complex set of rules.

Mr. Anthony has also represented civilians in family law proceedings, including helping them to deal with the divorce legal issues that apply to their particular cases, such as property division, parenting time, and spousal and child support. When possible, he assists them in negotiating a comprehensive settlement agreement that addresses these matters, but he is a forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf if talks break down and litigation becomes necessary.

In his criminal law practice, Mr. Anthony defends people who have been charged by the state or federal government with having committed such crimes as assault or drug possession and distribution. His personal injury caseload involves representing plaintiffs who have been harmed by another party’s negligence in cases involving motor vehicle crashes, medical malpractice, and premises liability.
