Kathleen M. Nevins

Kathleen M. Nevins is the principal and managing partner at the Nevins Law Group LLC, which has its offices in Glastonbury, Connecticut. She focuses her practice on matters involving family law, real estate, business law and contracts. 

With over 25 years of experience in the legal field, Ms. Nevins has immense experience helping families with their family law needs and aiding people with the formation and dissolution of businesses, and the drafting and reviewing of contracts. She is also a certified mediator by the United Latino Students Association. 

With a “Very Good” rating on Avvo, Ms. Nevins is known for her consistency and efficiency in her field and ensures to provide the best quality legal services to each of her clients. She uses her extensive experience and skill for the benefit of her clients and has an unwavering commitment to their needs and best interests. 

Ms. Nevins graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While studying, she interned at the Connecticut Office of Adult Probation and studied for a semester abroad in Ireland. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1996. 

While in law school, Ms. Nevins was a charter member of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. She is licensed to practice in Connecticut and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. Before starting Nevins Law Group LLC, she was an associate attorney at a law firm in Hartford, handling insurance defense cases as well as business counseling. 

Actively involved in major bar associations, Ms. Nevins has memberships in the Connecticut Bar Association’s Family Law Section, Solo and Small Firm Section and Workers’ Compensation Section, and also in the Hartford County Bar Association. In addition to her law practice, she is a firm believer in giving back to society and volunteers much of her time working with many charitable organizations.
