Martin J. Minnella

Martin J. Minnella is a partner at the firm Minnella, Tramuta & Edwards, Attorneys At Law, located in Middlebury and Milford, Connecticut. He serves clients in both locations from his office in Middlebury, helping them with criminal defense matters such as:

Graduating with a B.A. in business from Temple University in Philadelphia, Mr. Minnella enrolled at the New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts, to pursue his legal studies. Earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1974, he passed the bar and was licensed to practice in Connecticut the same year. He gained admissions before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut in 1987 and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1989.

During law school, Mr. Minnella was honored with the American Jurisprudence Award by the Lawyers Cooperative Publishing for his excellence in the study of civil procedure, criminal law and constitutional law. With his legal career spanning almost 50 years, he is a seasoned criminal defense attorney helping clients fight for their rights and navigates complex criminal case proceedings. He also helps people with family law and international law matters, and represents clients in serious crimes across the U.S.

Mr. Minnella has been featured as a guest on Good Morning America and in the People magazine. He holds a “Good” rating on Avvo, for his zealous advocacy and vast knowledge of the law. Playing an active role in his community, he is a member of The Hartford Club and the New York Athletic Club. He is also the founder of the Minnella Law baseball team in the Greater Hartford Twilight Baseball League and a benefactor of the River Baldwin Recreation Center.

Active in the legal arena, Mr. Minnella is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association and the cofounder of the Connecticut Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
