Details

Richard Croce founded R. Richard Croce LLC after several years of working in Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Consumer bankruptcy still makes up the majority of cases he handles, but he now also takes on creditor-debtor rights and consumer real estate cases. His clients are primarily in Middletown, Connecticut.

Mr. Croce earned his bachelor's degree from Allegheny College. He then obtained his law degree at the University of Dayton School of Law and has been licensed since 1990. He became admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1990 and the Massachusetts Bar in 2006. In 1991, he was also admitted to practice in the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Representing trustees and debtors in Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases is how Mr. Croce first began his law career. He enjoyed this work and soon began working at a small, private practice where he continued to represent Chapter 7 trustees. Still, it didn't take him long to expand his practice areas to representing corporate clients in commercial transactions and disputes, such as bankruptcy proceedings, collections and prejudgment remedies.

Even outside of work, Mr. Croce remains heavily involved in the legal field. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Connecticut Bar Association. Prior to starting his law firm, he also spent 12 years serving the nonprofit organization, the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation, as the General Counsel.
