John M. Parese

A partner at Buckley Wynne & Parese, based in New Haven, Connecticut, John M. Parese offers comprehensive legal representation to individuals and families facing difficult legal challenges. His practice focuses on delivering strategic, results-driven guidance tailored to the unique goals of each client, whether through aggressive litigation or targeted dispute resolution.

Known for his versatile and client-focused approach, Mr. Parese handles a wide range of sophisticated civil litigation matters. He has extensive experience resolving high-stakes personal injury lawsuits, motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall incidents and wrongful death controversies. Additionally, he protects his clients' personal and financial interests by managing complicated insurance disputes, tort claims and sensitive legal conflicts arising from catastrophic accidents.

With a strong foundation in both state and federal jurisdictions, Mr. Parese brings formidable advocacy to every case. He is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. His appellate practice also extends nationwide, including admissions to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Parese earned his Juris Doctor from the Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2002. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.

Deeply committed to his legal community and civic engagement, Mr. Parese is an active member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the National Italian American Bar Association. He is a past president of the New Haven County Bar Association, serving from 2015 to 2016. Dedicated to professional leadership, he was also nominated as a James W. Cooper Fellow by the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
