Steven J. Errante

An attorney primarily focusing his practice on medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury, Steven J. Errante is a longtime partner and a managing member of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, located in New Haven, Connecticut. He also represents his clients in cases involving professional negligence, product liability and mass tort litigation.

A professional yet caring lawyer, Mr. Errante helps his clients navigate the legal system and sets realistic expectations about the outcome of the case. Mr. Errante obtained his law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and participated in the National Moot Court Competition in 1977. He graduated magna cum laude with his bachelor’s degree in economics from Hofstra University and was part of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He worked as a judicial research clerk at the Connecticut Supreme Court.

Allowed to practice in Connecticut and New York, Mr. Errante appears in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. He was the chairperson of the Connecticut Lawyer Advisory Committee that was responsible for publishing the official magazine of the Connecticut Bar Association called the Connecticut Lawyer.

Mr. Errante was a member of the New Haven County Bar Association Committee on Recommendations for Admission to the Bar. He also holds memberships in organizations like the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. A passionate lecturer and teacher, he has been an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law for 25 years and taught at the university level for 10 years before that. He has been lecturing the lawyers of Connecticut since the mid-1980s, and he continues to do so annually.

Throughout his 40-plus years of practice, Mr. Errante has received several honors and recognitions. He has been rated AV Preeminent* by Martindale-Hubbell and “Good” by Avvo. He has been featured in the Forbes magazine’s Northeast Edition and was included in the Connecticut Law Tribune’s Personal Injury Hall of Fame.
