Jeffrey Ginzberg

Jeffrey Ginzberg is an attorney at Perelmutter Potash and Ginzberg, P.C., where he divides his practice between divorce matters, divorce appeals, and personal injury litigation. Based in Seymour, Connecticut, he provides representation to clients through New Haven and Fairfield counties, and other parts of the state. Admitted to practice in Connecticut since 1980, Mr. Ginzberg is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court  Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Ginzberg's family law practice encompasses the legal issues that often arise when a marriage is ending, including alimony, spousal support and property division. In that regard, he places a particular emphasis on child custody and visitation, and he is the author of the section on that topic that appears in a treatise on Connecticut family law. In one notable case on this issue, Mr. Ginzberg successfully represented grandparents who were seeking visitation rights that had been denied by the child's biological mother. In his personal injury practice, he has provided advice and counsel to people who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties in incidents involving motor vehicle accidents, defective products and premises liability, and he has been able to obtain several significant settlements and jury awards on behalf of his plaintiff clients.

Highly regarded by his colleagues for his successful track record in his professional endeavors, Mr. Ginzberg has received a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo and a Distinguished* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. After beginning his undergraduate education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he transferred to Brandeis University and received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in 1977. Mr. Ginzberg then went on to attend Boston College Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1980. While at BC Law, he was a student editor of the Family Law Journal, an ABA publication; and assistant to Prof Sanford N. Katz, Chair of the ABA Family Law Section.
