Attorney Profile

Scope of The Practice

My practice centers on Personal Injury and Insurance Defense. Taking a case means preparing it with the intent that it will go to trial.  I have tried cases in Federal and State court involving Coverage Issues on Auto and Commercial lines; Traumatic Brain Injury; Wrongful Death; Auto Accidents involving fractures or surgical intervention; Medical Malpractice  and Contract Litigation.

My firm, Sheffy, Mazzaccaro, DePaolo & DeNigris, L.L.P. is located in Southington, Connecticut.

It is an honor to be named a Super Lawyer and having served on its Blue Ribbon Selection Panel. It is with humble pride that my colleagues have bestowed on me the honor of an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.  I have also been awarded a select fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America and nominated as a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation.  In addition, verdicts and settlements have invited membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum

Community is important. I served as a founding director of the Southington Education Foundation, and an am a former chairman of the Greater Southington Chamber of Commerce and I am presently serving as legal adviser. I am past board member of the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut. Presently, I am serving on the  Southington/Cheshire YMCA Board of Directors and am a nominee for the board of directors of the Charter Oak State College Foundation.
