Laurie G. DeNigris

With nearly 40 years of experience, Laurie G. DeNigris uses her immense practical knowledge of family law to provide her clients with judicious legal representation that emphasizes personalized attention, an unwavering work ethic, and meticulous focus and attention to detail. A partner at Sheffy, Grey & Bedard, LLP, in Southington, Connecticut, she advocates for her clients in the courtroom and at mediation settings in matters pertaining to divorce (contested and uncontested), child custody and support, and adoption, among many others.

Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. DeNigris has seen the emotional strain of lengthy court battles on her clients, and she strives to provide an alternative that saves them time and money – and most of all – saves their mental strengths for other important events in their lives. Ms. DeNigris completed her undergraduate studies in 1981, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Skidmore College. She then went on to enroll at the Ohio Northern University Petitt College of Law, where she served as the managing editor for the university’s law review. She received her Juris Doctor in 1984, and in the same year, she obtained her license to practice law in Connecticut.

Within her legal community, Ms. DeNigris holds memberships in myriad prominent legal organizations, including the Connecticut Bar Association (James Cooper Fellow), the Collaborative Divorce Lawyers Association, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and The Collaborative Divorce Team of Connecticut. In addition, she is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Hartford County Bar Association, the Greater New Britain Bar Association, the Parental Alienation Task Force and the Central Connecticut Collaborative Family Law Group (founding member and chair).
