A 1964 graduate of Seton Hall University, Mr. Piazza obtained his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 1972, where he was a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. He also received intensive training in mediation and negotiation techniques at Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A leader in his legal community, Mr. Piazza has served as president of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association as well as the Connecticut Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has also served on various board and committees of several local, state and national legal organizations as well as the Connecticut Superior Court. Moreover, he has written extensively and conducted lectures and seminars across his region on a variety of legal topics.
