As founding partner of Cacace, Tusch and Santagata, Michael J. Cacace manages legal issues related to real estate law, and land use and zoning. As he represents those in Stamford, Norwalk, Greenwich, Westport, Weston and Bridgeport, Connecticut, he has gained experience in tax appeals, taxation valuation, construction law, commercial law, litigation, real property law and administrative law.
New York Magazine named Mr. Cacace one of the Best Attorneys in Connecticut, and Best Lawyers named him the 2019 Stamford Lawyer of the Year in Real Estate. In 1986, Stamford Advocate gave him the Community Leader of the Year Award.
Mr. Cacace attended Fordham University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1974. He then attended law school at New York Law School, where he graduated with honors and his Juris Doctor. He is currently admitted to practice in both New York and Connecticut and before the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
A former member of the Democratic National Committee, Mr. Cacace has also served as president of the United Way of Connecticut and the United Way of Western Connecticut. He is currently a board member and co-chairman of the Connecticut Committee of the Regional Plan Association and a former president of the Regional Bar Association in Stamford. He is also a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the New York State Bar Association.
