Richard A. Silver, senior partner of Silver Golub & Teitell LLP in Stamford, CT, has long been recognized as a leader of the litigation bar in the state of Connecticut and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America under Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice and Product Liability Litigation for the last 25 years. Mr. Silver received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and an honorary Doctor of Laws from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Admitted to practice in Connecticut, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Former president of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Assocation and a member of its board of governors, Mr. Silver also serves as a chair of its Medical Malpractice Committee. He has served as the president of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been the chair of Connecticut's Judicial Selection Commission.
Aside from teaching trial practice at Yale Law School from 1978 to 1984 and being on the advisory board of the Quinnipiac University School of Law since 1982, Mr. Silver is a member of the American Law Institute and the American Association for Justice. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America* and has received an AV Preeminent** rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

- A $13.2 million settlement for his clients in a medical malpractice case involving a 35-year-old woman with three children who sustained brain damage during a routine tubal ligation procedure
- An $11.8 million settlement for a 49-year-old father of three young children who suffered brain damage in a motor vehicle accident
- A $16.7 million settlement for his clients in a medical malpractice case resulting in permanent brain damage of a woman as a result of an anesthesiologist's failure to properly monitor vital signs during the cesarean section delivery of her first child
