A member of Casper & de Toledo LLC, Stewart Casper focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, with particular emphasis on traumatic brain injuries. He has lectured extensively on TBIs across the country, and he has had several articles published on various aspects of that topic. Located in Stamford, Connecticut, Mr. Casper represents clients throughout Fairfield County and other parts of the state. He has been admitted to practice in Connecticut since 1978, and he is also admitted in New York and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and the Supreme court of the United States.
Throughout his career, Mr. Casper has been able to obtain millions of dollars in compensation through jury awards and negotiated settlements for his clients who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties. Some of his representative results have included a $3.24 million jury verdict for an area resident who slipped on black ice in a shopping center parking lot and suffered a severe brain injury, and a $2.3 million verdict for a woman who slipped and fell in a municipal parking garage. These and other successes have resulted in a great deal of favorable recognition from his colleagues, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" rating through Avvo. In addition, Mr. Casper has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America every year since 1999.
Mr. Casper's caseload has also included motor vehicle crashes as well as medical malpractice and defective products. He is a graduate of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he served on the Hofstra Law Review before receiving his Juris Doctor in 1978.

- Stewart devotes substantial time and energy to discussing public policy and translating those ideas into proposed legislation at the state and national level with a focus on 1) making our system of justice more equitable; and 2) to balance the playing field between insurance companies and big business and injured people. In addition, he volunteered for no fee to represent victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 as part of "Trial Lawyers Care, Inc." He is also a fundraiser for the American Heart Association and he volunteers time each week serving as a Mentor for a local youth through the Norwalk Family and Children's Agency.

- 43 year old commercial insurance salesperson slipped on wet supermarket floor and suffer a mild traumatic brain injury, chronic headaches, and vision disturbance. At the close of evidence, the case settles for $5.1 Million., 2016
- Mid-trial and nearly at the conclusion of the Plaintiff's evidence, $4.1 Million settlement for 47 year old wine salesperson who sustained a traumatic brain injury and facial fractures when the vehicle she was driving sustained heavy damage when crashed into by a 74 year old woman who crossed over a double yellow line separating two lanes of traffic in Greenwich. The defendant was caught attempting to manipulate her primary care physician into covering-up for her medically. Aggressive discovery directed against the defendant's own insurance company uncovered the transcript of a recorded statement taken shortly after the crash where she admitted to battling sleepiness and attempting to arouse her attention by opening the windows that day in February., 2019
- Spinal cord injury resulting in quadriplegia from a snow tubing accident in a public park in Waterbury, CT. The city left a metal players' bench imbedded in the ground at the base of a community snow sliding hill. Rose Marie Deschesnes crashed into the bench sustaining her injuries.
