  • Advanced neuroimaging can identify brain lesions that may disrupt the proper functioning of brain networks leading to functional loss. The disruption of function tends to be related more to network disruption than to damage at a specific geographic location within the brain, "Identifying Mild Traumatic Brain Injury: Recent Advances in Neuroimaging and Relation to Functional Impairments", Author, https://www.internationalbrain.org/publications/brain-injury-professional, Brain Injury Professional, 2017
  • Common law rules in federal and state courts defer issues of admissibility of expert testimony to trial judges acting as gate keepers. The rules in both venues rely to some extent on "peer reviewed" publications. However, the peer review process varies by journal and the standards for passing the peer review process is often not very demanding - in essence - the bar for publication may not be very high. This paper explored many of the factors that should be explored about papers proffered as evidence., Author, "Standing Up to Standard Authority", Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association Forum, 2019
